autumn tease

Today is one of those days that makes me long for a summers day to come along... there is a fresh breeze whistling through my room and I am lucky enough to be having a day off! I made myself get out of bed early and resist the temptation to lie there all day!  I wanted to make the most of such a wonderful day like it is today and I treated myself to a cup of fresh fruit and yoghurt covered in Manuka honey! The perfect start to my morning and now time for a light walk to the beach.  

I'm in a state of reverie...

Elle Ferguson has been a large fashion inspiration for me for quite some time now!  One of the reasons for this, is her ability to make shorts seem so classy and even suitable for fashion weeks!  Below are a collection of stylings by Elle herself that she has posted either on her Insagram ( @elle_ferguson ) or on her well-known blog with bestfriend Tash Sefton ( www.theyallhateus.com ).  

She is constantly wearing shorts and is a big fan of distressed denim with rips and basic blacks!

mohawk mayhem

Sam McKnight has had an amazing career lasting 30 years at the height of the fashion industry.  He has reshaped our view of typical hairstyles and has played a major part in some of the most iconic images, runways and editorials around!  His fur mohawks at the Fendi F/W '13 show were the most talked about thing of the moment and brought out the punk side of everyone for the night. I loved this look paired with the dark shade of lipstick and dramatic clothing.

Valentina has to be one of my favourite models at the moment and she seems to be one of the fashion industries favourite as shown by her in-demand schedule!  She's such a cutie and seems like the best friend you could have to spend quality time together doing yoga and relaxing in onesies (two of her favourite things!)

She brings such ease and happiness to all her photographs as shown well in the above photos! X

i-D Covers

For a long time now, I have been fascinated by i-D covers as they are constantly bringing controversial  'different' images to the attention of the fashion industry.  They feature many top, high fashion models and muses and below I have chosen a few of my very favourite!

Did you know that every cover star is winking or has an eye covered!

The small 'i" represents one eye open and the other closed which is winking,

The "-" represents a nose, 

And the capital "d" represents a mouth!

There we have the logo that is a face, which is why everyone who graces the cover of this prestigious mag winks or covers their eye!
